Choose the wearer for elemental gear in Legend of Defenders
For the Legend of Defenders equipment line discussed as “Thunder Damage +20%,” only the character wearing that equipment receives the bonus. Equipping it on another hero does not give every thunder-damage hero a team-wide increase.

Match the bonus to its wearer
The original player asked whether the item had to be on a thunder hero or whether another character could hold it for the team's thunder damage. The developer answered that only the equipped character has the stated bonus.
- Read the item's exact damage line.
- Read the intended wearer's damage and skill descriptions.
- Choose the wearer whose damage you want that item to affect, rather than using a spare hero as a team-wide holder.
Read explicit team effects separately
This is an answer about the equipment property that was actually asked about. It does not establish that every item, skill or treasure in the game must be personal. A description that explicitly names the whole team is a different effect and needs its own wording.
Likewise, this answer does not establish that a displayed 20% bonus always produces exactly 20% more total team damage. Damage types, other effects and the fight itself still matter; no full damage formula is derived from the reply.
Do not fold unanswered gear questions into this one
The same original thread asks about Dart Damage and named legendary effects. The clear wearer answer does not supply a complete definition or source table for those other questions. For the supported route to fight Goblin Empire again, use the Rift boss rematch guide.
Check the decision
The item's wearer should be the intended recipient of its described bonus. Do not expect an unequipped thunder hero to gain that item property because someone else holds it. If a different item explicitly mentions team damage, keep its exact wording separate when comparing effects.
