Heroes & DLC
Separate microtransactions from optional DLC in Legend of Defenders
Legend of Defenders’ official Steam page advertises zero in-app purchases, while a separate optional Supporter Pack is sold as DLC. Recruitment and diamonds inside the game do not by themselves establish a real-money currency shop. Distinguish the paid base game, the specific DLC contents and normal recruitment before deciding that a mobile-style interface requires repeated purchases.

Three things that should not be conflated
| What you are looking at | What the checked source establishes |
|---|---|
| Steam base game | A paid single-player product whose current description advertises zero in-app purchases. |
| Recruitment and diamonds | In-game progression and recruitment exist. Their presence is not evidence of an unlimited real-money diamond shop. |
| Supporter Pack | A separately listed optional DLC with named starter resources, hero and cosmetic contents. |
Check the actual pack instead of assuming a recurring purchase
The official Supporter Pack lists Holy Light Castle, Witch’s Hand, 200 Diamonds and Mag Ranger. These are the stated contents of that product, not a promise of repeat diamond grants or a method for purchasing every recruitment result.
The developer separately confirms that Magnetic Storm Ranger is in the normal recruitment pool without the extra DLC. See Mag Ranger without DLC. For an already owned pack, use the in-game Claim route rather than buying it again to troubleshoot a missing reward.
What this does not tell you about progression
The absence of advertised in-app purchases does not establish generous diamond income, a guaranteed recruit after a certain number of attempts, or a particular number of idle hours. Current players discuss diamond shortages and long progression; their individual reports are not a drop-rate table.
This is a monetization and ownership distinction, not a pay-to-win verdict or a future policy guarantee. Recheck the current official product descriptions if a later update or regional storefront says something different. The recording’s interface and comment reactions supply a question worth answering, not proof of an unlisted payment system.
You have identified whether you are considering the base game, a specific optional DLC, or spending an existing in-game resource. The current checked sources do not justify assuming a repeat-purchase currency shop merely from the recruitment presentation.
