Mining and Diamond Mines in Legend of Defenders

November 4 full-release patch · Evidence checked November 4, 2026 · Exact executable build unstated

The short answer

The Mining skill no longer applies to Diamond Mines in Legend of Defenders. The official November 4 update states that change explicitly. Do not stack or select Mining expecting the old bonus to increase Diamond Mine output. The same patch separately increases the mines' yield and changes when the Treasure Realm appearance chance unlocks; these are different rules.

Separate the skill, the mine and the appearance chance

What you are checkingNovember 4 ruleWhat it does not establish
Mining skillNo longer applies to Diamond Mines.A complete effect table for every resource or another skill.
Diamond Mine yieldThe official update increases it separately. An exact amount, multiplier or income-per-hour target.
Treasure Realm appearance chanceIts unlock moves to Orc Miner level 1.A guaranteed appearance or every treasure slot being unlocked.

An increased mine yield does not mean Mining still supplies its old interaction. Likewise, unlocking a chance is not the same result as seeing that event appear on every attempt.

Use the rule for the resource decision you are making

  1. Read the exact skill or gem property you are considering. If it is Mining and the goal is more Diamonds from Diamond Mines, do not include that skill's advertised percentage as a Diamond Mine bonus under this patch.
  2. Read the mine output actually shown in your current game. If you have a previous recorded value, compare that displayed result rather than calculating a new Diamond total from an old Mining description.
  3. If your goal is the Treasure Realm appearance chance, check the Orc Miner's displayed level against the new level-1 unlock. No exact menu path or mine-upgrade sequence is verified by this announcement.
  4. Keep each observed outcome separate: mine output, skill applicability and whether the Realm actually appears. Do not spend further resources merely to force a bonus the current patch says does not apply.

A large Mining percentage is not a Diamond Mine formula

In the current Mining discussion, Dead Legend first reported no Diamond increase despite a large Mining bonus, then found the patch note and corrected the bug assumption. That is useful evidence of the misunderstanding; it is not an independent measurement of every resource affected by Mining.

The player's description of other resource behavior does not supply an official Gold formula, complete mining-unit table or best starting allocation. The patch gives the Diamond Mine exclusion, not those wider conclusions.

Keep Solar output and treasure tasks separate

The same update also increases the Diamond output of the item it calls Solar tower. That is a separate source change, without a stated ratio or measured farming rate. Use the Solar tradeoff guide when deciding whether the associated enemy-pressure tradeoff fits your current team.

Unlocking that chance alone is not evidence that your first treasure purchase quest is complete or a deployment slot has opened. Check the actual quest state. Follow the task your quest book actually names rather than treating every treasure-related feature as the same unlock.

Your resource check is complete when…

You are no longer counting Mining as a Diamond Mine bonus, you have read the mine's actual current output, and you distinguish Orc Miner level 1's chance unlock from a guaranteed Realm appearance. Exact rates, upgrade costs and an optimal farming build remain unverified by these sources.
