Find the Tavern and recruit heroes in Legend of Defenders

Check that this is the recruitment problem

This route starts after the Tavern/recruitment building is built and available. The source does not provide its construction cost, quest threshold or a complete building-unlock procedure.

Read the message you actually see. A hero you do not own and a team slot you cannot fill are different obstacles. If you already own the intended hero but need more active places, use the quest-based deployment-slot check.

Find the visible RECRUIT entrance

1. Inspect the top row of buildings/buttons. The player report places the recruitment building third in that row.
2. Hover the reported building/button and read its RECRUIT label before selecting it. Use the label to confirm the destination; do not activate an unrelated third icon if your layout differs.
3. Open that recruitment interface. On a matching keyboard setup, G is the reported shortcut. If G does nothing, use the visible RECRUIT button instead; the report does not verify a rebind, restart or reset fix.
4. Read the current options, cost and any choice/confirmation prompt before committing resources. Finding the screen does not require guessing a spending amount or repeatedly recruiting until a particular hero appears.
5. If you choose to complete a recruit, inspect its result and your owned roster. Owning that hero does not by itself add another deployed-team slot.

If the button or hero is still missing

• No available recruitment building: inspect the requirement or current quest actually shown in your game. The reply's “if built/unlocked” condition does not establish a particular castle level or automatic unlock threshold.
• G does not open the interface: use the visible labelled entrance and keep your actual keyboard/control setup in mind. The exact platform and bindings of the source player are unstated.
• The desired hero is not in your roster: distinguish opening the recruitment pool from obtaining one particular result. The source gives no guaranteed count, rarity table or successful outcome for your next attempt.
• The hero is owned but cannot join the active team: check the separate quest-gated deployment condition rather than buying or recruiting again solely to open a slot.

Recruitment access is separate from DLC entitlement

For the specific Mag Ranger question, the developer has separately confirmed ordinary recruitment-pool availability without the Supporter Pack. Read the Mag Ranger pool-versus-DLC explanation before treating a missing result as a purchase requirement.

Pool availability does not promise a result on demand. If the issue is whether recruitment means extra real-money purchases, use the base game, in-app purchase and optional DLC distinction; the Tavern location report supplies no new payment or probability guarantee.

You found the correct route when…

The RECRUIT interface opens and you can inspect its current choices and costs. If you perform a recruit, check the resulting ownership state in the roster. A new owned hero and an additional active deployment slot remain separate completion checks.
